It was more than 16 years ago that I first met Audrey Cannon. It shocked me that she looked so young. She had a toddler with her, when she got into my Cab.

The first impression beyond her appearance of extreme youth was her fierce devotion to her son. It was this quality that at first had made me think her appearance was the illusion of extreme youth, but in reality she was just sixteen years old.

I've known many teen mothers in my time but not ones so dedicated to the care, well being of their children. Over the years I've known her the gentleness, and devotion to those she loves is the chief quality that's remained constant in her personality.

I write this to state that it's my belief that those basic qualities, that I've seen combined in Audrey Cannon's make up, her fierce devotion to her children, her family, her compassion, her empathy, as well as artistic nature combine to make her the least likely to commit a felonious act of just about anyone I know, but it's not for me to judge that.

Rather I say that I urge, and pray that she be given every opportunity to show what I already know, that she is a person that has an incredible amount yet to contribute to her community.
